**WCWAA Pop Warner Football Cheerleading**

General Cheerleading Information
WCWAA’s Pop Warner Cheerleading is available to participants ranging in ages 5-12 years old as of July 31, 2017. No experience is required and there are no try-outs of any kind!
Non-Competitive Cheerleading is offered to girls ages 5-12. Cheerleaders will be placed on a team in the appropriate division based on age (as of July 31, 2017), available coaches, and the total number of girls registering. Squad assignments will be determined after registrations have been completed.
Practices are held in the evenings beginning as soon as teams are formed. Practices will be held one night a week (coach's choice) and are typically held at Optimist Park between 6-8 pm timeframes. Final practice schedules will be provided as soon as registration closes and teams are formed. Game day schedules will be provided when the football schedule is created. All cheerleaders will cheer at home games for their division game. There may be a few away games scheduled as well. All regular-season games are scheduled to be played on Saturdays beginning in September. The regular season generally runs through October with post-season/playoff games that could run through November.

The full uniform is required and is included in your registration fee. Your child will be able to keep all pieces of the uniform. There will be a uniform fitting on the day we collect forms. An email will go out to all registered participants with the date.

What to Wear to Practice
Cheerleaders are expected to wear athletic type shorts (no jeans), t-shirts and lace up athletic shoes (no flip flops, crocs or slip on shoes). Absolutely NO jewelry of any kind (except medical bracelets or ids) - ALL Earrings must be removed. Nails must be kept at an appropriate length and no nail polish. Hair must be secured in a ponytail and hair beads are not allowed. Eyeglasses must include a fitted strap without a knot or beads. Please be sure to send sufficient water with your cheerleader to each practice and game. Be sure to bring your SMILES!!
