Recycle Your Old Sneakers

The South Piedmont Junior Optimist Club has started a fundraiser to collect used sneakers and athletic shoes, which are then turned in to be recycled or re-sold. The Club gets a small commission on each sneaker in good or better condition. Funds raised will support their volunteer activities in our community. They have set up two drop boxes at Optimist Park –  one under the upper picnic shelter and one in the lower baseball complex under the Jeff Paul Pavilion.
